ClearScript respells any language in the writing system the learner already reads. English for the world. Japanese for Chinese speakers. Any pair you need.
You cannot sound out "thought", "though" and "through" from how they are written. No major language has a wider gap between spelling and sound — which is why we start with English. But the deeper problem is universal: every learner reads a new language through the rules of the one they grew up with, and the sounds often come out wrong. ClearScript gives them a guide they can trust — their own writing system, respelling how the language actually sounds.
One camp treated accent as a flaw to polish away. The other decided the safe course was silence, and called it respect. Both abandon the learner. Our position: your accent is your business; being understood is ours. It is a skill — measurable, teachable, and mostly built from sounds you already own.
ClearScript re-encodes a target language's pronunciation using the spelling rules of the learner's first language. No phonetic alphabet. No new symbols. Nothing to learn before learning. They read the way they always have, and what comes out is intelligible speech.
One engine. Every language pair. The rules change with each pair. The engine doesn't.
